National Safety Stand-Down to Prevent Falls Week

In an effort to stop fatalities and injuries that result from falls, particularly from high elevations, the U.S. Department of Labor Occupational Safety and Health Administration is once again sponsoring National Safety Stand-Down to Prevent Falls Week to raise fall hazard awareness across the country.  A Safety Stand-Down is a voluntary event that provides an opportunity for employers to talk with employees about fall hazards and reinforce the importance of good safety practices for fall prevention.  Companies, where workers are not exposed to fall hazards, can also use this opportunity to address other job hazards, protective methods, and the company’s safety policies and goals. For more information visit the U.S. Department of Labor OSHA website.
