Local Government Ethics 

A discussion of the Local Government Ethics Law and numerous cases presented by David Grubb the Exec. Dir. of MEL, and Paul H. Tomasko, 2nd V.P. of NJLM, Secretary of MEL, and Mayor of Alpine Borough.  CEU’s are available for this program. (Note: This program does not count towards the MEL premium credit)

MEL JIF Annual Risk Management Seminar (2 sessions)

Property Casualty Insurance costs New Jersey government $1 billion each year and could increase by 10% or more in 2024.  MEL experts will discuss these issues and specific actions local governments can take to control these costs. By completing one of these two Annual Risk Management Seminar sessions, elected officials from communities that are MEL JIF members will be eligible for a $250 premium credit (subject to a maximum).

Community Food Bank of New Jersey will be collecting food during the conference and asks attendees to donate non-perishable food items. In coordination with the Community Food Bank of NJ, donation boxes will be located onsite throughout the Atlantic City Convention Center. Review a list of suggested items to bring.
